PRODUCT CERTIFICATION AND INSPECTION DEPARTMENT

A. CERTIFICATION SPECIALIST (1 vacancy) Code: SGMPCI 25-1

i) Responsibilities:

1. To develop new schemes related to Product Certification and Inspection Services.
2. To effectively manage the creation of new business opportunities and development of new schemes related to Product Certification Schemes and Inspection Services.

ii) Basic Requirement:

Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Material / Civil / Chemical Engineering preferably with more than 15 years working experience in certification and inspection. Candidates must have excellent knowledge in accreditation requirements and high ability to develop new product certification and inspection schemes.

iii) Additional requirement:

1. Ability to manage project team.
2. Able to work under minimum supervision.
3. Technically sound in various categories of consumers and industrial products and inspection services.

B. CERTIFICATION EXECUTIVE (1 Vacancy) Code: CMCS 20-1

i) Responsibilities:

To process and evaluate applications and recommend for approval for certification, to produce quality certification report and to supervise the process of issuance of import permit for communication products.

ii) Basic Requirements:

Degree in Communication / Electronics Engineering / Telecommunication / Multimedia. Working experience in the related field is an added advantage.

C. EXECUTIVE (1 vacancy) Code: TECS 20-1

i) Responsibilities:

To prepare, maintain, review and update all the quality manuals, procedures, documents and records related to accreditation To maintain and extend new scope of accreditation to ISO/IEC Guide 65 for all Product Certification activities and ISO/IEC 17020 for Inspection activities. To arrange and facilitate accreditation audits from accreditation bodies and monitor corrective actions taken and implemented by respective Sections after raised by accreditation bodies.

ii) Basic Requirements:

Degree in Science or Engineering with 2-3 years working experience in quality assurance related activities. Good oral and written communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.

iii) Additional Requirements:

1. Knowledge and understanding of standards used for Product Certification and Inspection activities.
2. Knowledge in standards/guidelines for accreditation of Certification and Inspection bodies (ISO/IEC Guide 65 and ISO/IEC 17020).
3. Knowledge in conformity assessment principles and procedures.


CORPORATE SERVICES DEPARTMENT

A. SENIOR EXECUTIVE (4 vacancies) Code: SMBD 21/22-4

i) Responsibilities:
To organize and manage the sales, marketing and business development activities of SIRIM QAS International Sdn Bhd.

ii) Basic Requirement:

Degree in Marketing / Business Administration / Management / Economics / Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Science with minimum of 3 years working experience in sales / &nbspmarketing / business development preferably in the business of conformity assessment.


B. SENIOR EXECUTIVE (2 vacancies) Code: CCB 21-2

i) Responsibilities:

1. To develop and execute SIRIM QAS Internationals brand building program. This includes developing the brand manual, managing the brand collaterals, ensuring consistent applications of the brand throughout the organization and developing new brand collaterals e.g. website and corporate video.

2. To identify, plan and implement the corporate communication activities of the company. This includes development of corporate publications and managing public relations and media relations as well as handling procurement for advertisement placements.

ii) Basic Requirement:

Bachelor Degree in Marketing / Business Administration / English / Mass Communication or equivalent with minimum of 3 years relevant working experience.

MANAGEMENT SYSTEM CERTIFICATION DEPARTMENT

A. SENIOR AUDITOR (1 vacancy) Code: SUSC-CDM 23-1

i) Responsibilities:

To carry out CDM validation and verification audits and assist in marketing and sales of the CDM validation and verification scheme.

ii) Basic Requirements:

Degree in Chemical / Palm Oil Milling / Chemical Technology / Electrical Engineering with minimum of 10 years working experience of which 6 years in Palm Oil Milling, Power Plant, Landfill Operations and Biogas related operations or other CDM Project related consultancy.

B. AUDITOR (1 vacancy) Code: SUSC-EMS 21-1

i) Responsibilities:

To carry out Energy Management System audit.

ii) Basic Requirements:

Degree in Chemical / Palm Oil Milling / Chemical Technology / Electrical Engineering with minimum of 4 years working experience in related area.

C. AUDITOR (2 vacancies)

i) Responsibilities:

To plan, lead and manage audits of organizations management systems to the following standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, MS 1722, TS 16949 and other related management systems certification schemes.

ii) Basic Requirements:

1. Degree in Computer Science / IT / Information Security Management System / Public Administration / Education with minimum of 4 years working experience in the related area. Candidates with working experience in IT / Information Security Management System would have an added advantage. Code: SVC 21-1

2. Degree in Science / Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines with minimum 4 years working experience in the mechanical and automotive industries. Code: M&A 21-1

iii) Additional Requirements:

1. Minimum 4 years full time practical workplace experience with at least 2 years in Quality Assurance related activities.
2. Have passed the ISO 9000 lead auditors course.
3. Preferably 1 year third party auditing/inspection experience or has maintained registration with recognized auditor certification body. The registration must be current.
4. Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English both spoken and written.
5. Willing to travel and possess own transport.

TESTING SERVICE DEPARTMENT

A. TECHNICIAN (9 vacancies)

i) Responsibilities:

1. To conduct testing activities and general maintenance of laboratory equipment in accordance to ISO/IEC 17025. Code: EEST 15-5
2. To assist in COA verification activities. Code: CCST 15-2
3. To assist in PPE and toys testing activities. Code: MST 15-1
4. To assist in chemical analysis and testing. Code: CEST 15-1

ii) Basic Requirement:

Polytechnics Certification in Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical / Chemistry / Civil Engineering.

A. ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (5 vacancies) Code: Admin 13/14-5

i) Responsibilities:

Provide administrative, clerical services and office support activities in order to ensure effective and efficient operation.

ii) Basic Requirement:
SPM with 5 credits including Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Minimum 2 years experience as a clerk / administrative work or the related field.

iii) Additional Requirement:
Must be able to work as a team and as an individual.
Familiar with computer applications and Microsoft Office tools.

3. Willing to work overtime.

4. Good oral and written skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
